45th Wedding Anniversary!
10 Days of Spain's Highlights.
We flew from Atlanta on Friday, October 26th 2007 and landed in Madrid on Saturday the 27th, our anniversary.
We visited some of Spain's greatest castles, museums, monuments and cities. And we met a fun group of new friends.
We toured the new capital of Madrid, the old capital Toledo, the last (1492) Moorish city of Granada, on to Torremolinos on the Costa del Sole, mountainous Ronda, the center of sherry making in Jerez, the beautiful city of Seville, capital of Andalusia, and the first Moorish capital city of Cordoba, and then back to Madrid.
We took a side trip to the British possession of Gibraltar to tour the "Rock" and see the monkeys (Barbary Apes). They sat on our heads and shoulders for us to take pictures.
